Camila Cabello performs two unreleased songs on first tour show

12 April 2018
To kick off her Never Be The Same tour, Camila Cabello offered her Vancouver, Canada fans something special at the Orpheum Theatre on Monday: two new unreleased songs. Thanks to some sharp fans, we have video evidence for both songs, called, "Sangria Wine" and "Scar Tissue."
"Tissue" talks about dealing with the residual trauma from a past relationship and employs an R&B-pop sound to achieve this. "I don't know if you guys know this, but, scar tissue is the skin that grows on top of skin that's been burned or hurt, and it's the body's way of healing. When I wrote this part of the song, it felt like I was healing," Camila tells the crowd about the song co-written by Charli XCX. "I just want you to know that if any of you are going through a tough time, or lost, I just want you to be patient and loving, and brave, and treat yourself as if you were your own best friend."
But the song everyone will be talking about is Pharrell-assisted "Wine." Where she was flanked with obviously morbid contemporary dancers for the first song, this one opens with a troupe of male dancers moving to the swanky Caribbean beat before Camila comes out with two female dancers who wind and sway.
