On Saturday (2 June) evening, Janet Jackson reportedly called the police to check on her 1-year-old son, Eissa Al Mana’s wellbeing. Eissa was visiting Jackson’s estranged ex-husband, Qatari businessman, Wissam Al Mana with his nanny at the Nobu Hotel in Malibu at the time.
E! News reports that a watch commander with the Malibu County Sheriff’s Office confirms that police responded to a call shortly before 10pm at the Nobu Hotel, where they were asked to check on Jackson's son. The police also confirmed that Jackson wasn’t at the scene at the time of the incident but was there when police arrived.
According to Janet’s brother, Randy Jackson, his sister called the police after Eissa’s nanny became frightened by Wissam’s behaviour. "[She was] terrified by his behaviour and locked herself in a bathroom, so she could contact Janet," he told Entertainment Tonight.
Janet and Wissam welcomed their son on 2 Jan. 2017 but announced their split just three months later after five years of marriage.
