Ever wondered why we’ve never had a Jonah Hill-directed movie? Probably not but the great news is now we get a shot at one anyway with the Academy Award winner’s feature film debut, Mid90s.
Written and directed by Hill, the coming of age story follows a 13-year-old boy named Stevie, played by Sunny Suljic, who’s on a mission to find himself in 90s Los Angeles. Of course, it’s not all that easy when you come from a home with a violent older brother, and family that generally couldn’t be bothered about you.
But he has skateboarding which helps him take his mind of things. It leads him to join a group of skaters at a skate park which turns his life around, for the better or for worse. He’s thrust into a world of parties, older girls, driving cars as a teen -- a wild transition from the life he knows.
Mid90s is expected to drop on 19 October but you can watch the trailer for it below right now.
