Lira warns her fans against a scam that is doing the rounds

22 March 2018
It's scamming season once again and all of our most famous celebrities are doing everything they can to make sure you don't get swindled out of your hard earned cash. The latest to try and protect her fans and followers is singer, Lira who busted a fraudster that was using her name online.

It began when rumours swirled that she had left TV Show, The Voice SA and was now going around endorsing beauty products which you obviously needed to purchase in order to advance with the scam. Considering that Lira has nearly a million followers around Africa, it's plausible that a few of her fans would want to hop onto any product she releases.

Unfortunately, this specific one came with zero endorsement from the official singer. Lira took to Instagram to reveal that the article from which these rumours emanated, as well as the rumours themselves, were all fake:

In future the best way to avoid being scammed is to only trust products that are endorsed by a verified celebrity social media account!
