Heavy K, Da Les, Anatii perform for Common and more at LA party

13 March 2018
The bridge between the US and South Africa keeps getting shorter and shorter with our local entertainers getting ever more friendlier with celebrities from abroad. The most recent occasion saw Heavy-K, Anatii, Da Les, LootLove and Ayanda Thabethe hang out with Common at the Absolut Elyx House Saturday (10 Mar.).

The best part of the entire evening was that they weren't just invited as pretty faces to fill a pretty party. Heavy K, Da Les and Anatii got to perform for attendees which included actor Stephen James, music producer Karl Rubin, and Black Panther star Sope Aluko.

Heavy K noted that it was an incredible experience appreciating the fact that the "people really felt it and got down to it."

Common is no stranger to South Africa having stopped by for a visit just last year. "It was a blessing for me to go to South Africa last year," he said in a press statement. "I am excited that African culture is finally becoming part of the global cultural narrative. We have to keep building that cultural bridge."
