T.I. wants a 2016 $775K jewellery lawsuit against him thrown out quickly

4 June 2018
T.I. loves his bling. Georgia-based jeweler, Aydin & Co. claims to have sold him hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of jewellery, including a 48-carat diamond chain, two $10 000 custom dog tags, and a wedding band valued at $13 500. ‘Sold’ here is a loose word -- it’s more like a lay-by or credit situation where the rapper is expected to make payments to eventually own the $775 000 worth of jewellery. In January 2016, Aydin & Co. claimed that T.I. hadn’t made payment since 2013.
For T.I.’s part, he’s maintained since then that this is all fake news and now he’s taken his case to court, according to Bossip. T.I. is reportedly seeking a quick ruling on his case filed last month claiming he never stole any jewellery and if he had it would be outside the statute of limitations.
The plot twist in all this is that T.I.’s mansion was burgled and the jewellery in question was stolen. Aydin & Co. want a cut of the insurance money. Both cases are expected to be heard by a judge in the coming months.
