Trevor Noah on Drake and Pusha T

1 June 2018
You’ve laughed it off, you’ve compared notes but no one has broken down the Pusha T-Drake beef quite like Trevor Noah did in a new The Daily Show Between the Scenes clip. Noah’s departure point is really Pusha T’s “The Story of Adidon,” a response diss track to Drake’s “Duppy Freestyle.” If you need to catch up, listen to the track below.
“The Story of Adidon” reveals multiple details about Drake’s life that we’ve never heard before. It alleges everything from his father walking out on him when was 5, to his fear of growing an afro because he was concerned it wouldn’t be nappy enough. The biggest blow far was claiming that Drake not only has a son but that he’s hidden him because the son was born by a French pornstar.
“This is something that you reserve for presidential campaigns, and Pusha-T clearly hired, like, a full-on research team,” Noah said. “I’ve heard of rap beefs where people threaten to get rid of family members. I’ve never heard of rap beefs where people give you family members.”
