There's no denying Barbra Streisand's power. Between 2016 and 2017, her Barbra: The Music… The Mem'ries… The Magic! show, raked in $53 million over 16 shows of 200 000 total fans. By comparison, Beyonce's Formation World Tour drew in $256 million over 49 shows of over 2,2 million fans.
Now, for those not able to make the 200k cut, Netflix is bringing the concert to your home. A Miami taping of the full concert premieres globally on the platform on 22 November. The show tracks Streisand's unbelievable six-decade career spanning 35 studio albums, of which 11 have been No. 1s, including her last, 2016's Back to Brooklyn.
Back to Brooklyn also featured some Hollywood musical mavens including Melissa McCarthy, Anne Hathaway and Jamie Foxx. In a trailer promoting the concert special, Foxx and Streisand team up for duet of Climb Ev'ry Mountain from The Sound of Music.
