watch lana del rey’s performance debut of 'love' at sxsw

20 March 2017
Lana Del Rey was easily one of the biggest highlights of this year’s South by Southwest festival. Donning a white, angelic dress, the dark mistress of pop took her Sunday audience to church with a performance of her new dreamy single, “Love”.
With her band of guitar, keyboards and drums, other highlights of the set were favourites, Ultraviolence, Born to Die, Video Games and Shades of Cool. The highlight of the performance was no doubt her live debut of Love. Echoing the mood of its music video, the stage was lit musty yellow, intensified to velvet red before going awash in a dreamy, ocean blue. And in very much the performance style of the video, Del Ray stood stationary singing to the crowd singing along as though singing alone to a lover.
