Who won what at the 2017 Comic's Choice Awards

12 September 2017
The 2017 edition of the Savanna Comic's Choice Awards took place on the 9th of September at the Lyric Theatre in Johannesburg. It was a night aimed at celebrating the finest in South African comedy, and of course, a night that would always be filled with laughter.
Skhumba walked away as this year's happiest comedian. The Kaya FM personality walked away with the "Comic of the Year" award, as well as a "Flying Solo Award".

For the first time ever this year, we saw the CCA's look beyond our borders to award talent in comedy, after they introduced the "Pan African Comic Of the Year" award. This prize fell to Nigerian comic Basketmouth, who is one of the most popular comics on the scene at the moment.
However, perhaps the biggest news of the night came when the "Comic's Pen Award" was nominated to a member of Viacom fam, Mojak Lehoko. The funnyman has grown into a real presence in both comedy and entertainment.
