MTV Video Music Awards: About

Brace yourselves for the biggest party of the year because the 2017 Video Music Awards will return to the west coast at The Forum in Inglewood, California. To kick things off, we're leading up to the show with a three-night residency of free concerts, just for you at the Avalon in Hollywood, CA! DNCE, Bebe Rexha, Noah Cyrus, Echosmith, Why Don't We, Kacy Hill, Cheat Codes, Sammi Sanchez and Bleachers are all scheduled to perform. Bleachers will grace us with an encore performance at the 2017 MTV VMA Pre-Show along with Cardi B and Khalid. Three-time VMA-nominated Lil Yachty will serve as host alongside MTV's Terrence J, Charlamagne Tha God and Gaby Wilson. Can't make it? Fear not! We'll be live streaming all VMA Weekend festivities on MTV Live.

Cue the fireworks because this Sunday the "California Gurl" herself, Katy Perry will be your host! Not only will she be showing off her new Moonwoman chops, Katy Perry will also be shutting down the VMA stage with a performance! But she's not the only one. This year is packed to the brim with show-stopping performers, including Miley Cyrus, Ed Sheeran, Lorde, Fifth Harmony featuring Gucci Mane, Thirty Seconds To Mars, Kendrick Lamar, Shawn Mendes, Logic, Khalid, Gucci Mane, Julia Michaels, Alessia Cara and KYLE. And this just in: Demi Lovato, DNCE, and Rod Stewart will have special, remote performances at the Palms in Las Vegas during the show. Taking the stage to rock out together, DNCE and Rod Stewart will be performing Stewart's classic hit, "Da Ya Think I'm Sexy." To bring things to the next level, we will exclusively be premiering Taylor Swift's new music video for her smash hit new single, "Look What You Made Me Do" during the show. Other attendees include Chance the Rapper, Calvin Harris, SZA, DJ Khaled, Ludacris, The Chainsmokers, Tiffany Haddish and so many more! Yeah, our jaws dropped too.

We are excited to announce that the VMAs will bestow P!nk with its highest honor-- the "Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award!" Besides her trailblazing impact on music, pop-culture, fashion, and philanthropy, P!nk is also known for lighting up the stage with her unparalleled acrobats and evocative live performances, so you know it's going to be a good show!
